French End of Year Activities

Wow! This year has gone by quickly! That being said, this is a great time to do activities with your French students that help bring together the many aspects of French learning that have taken place in your class. Hands on activities are always a great choice. Here are 5 activities that you can use that are interactive, will help students review for final projects or for final exams.

1. Verb Tenses Review Game: this follows the rules for Snakes and Ladders. Go UP on the Arrows & Slide DOWN when you hit a snake.  A variety of boards are included with different levels of infinitives on the boards. You choose the Verb Tenses to be reviewed.

2. Review Task Cards - These can be done as a written or oral activity to practice a wide variety of topics. Main topic areas included are: school in the future, inventions, likes, dislikes, present day school, outdoor activities, national parks, modes of transportation, the environment, clothing, sports, athletes, music, music styles, musical instruments and more.

These can also be shown on the class screen and made it into a groups competition game.

3. Review Task Cards - These can be done as a written or oral activity to practice a wide variety of topics. This set of task cards includes these topics: age, dates, weather, seasons, sports, pastimes, person descriptions, music, food, beverages, family, geographical locations, school subjects, friendships, colours and more.

These can also be shown on the class screen and made it into a groups competition game.

4. A printable board game that is played in small groups. Sample answers are included to allow students to check their own work as they move around the board.

Topics are: la musique, l’école, les activités et les passe-temps, les moyens de transport, les aventures de plein air, la mode, les sports & more.

5. Another printable board game that is played in small groups. Sample answers are also included to allow students to check their own work as they move around the board.

Topics include: age, date, weather, seasons, sports, pastimes, person descriptions, music, food, beverages, family, geographical locations, school subjects, television, friendships, colours and more.

These end of the year activities can also be left for a substitute teacher if you are going to be away. Prep it and tuck it away for those needed days!

Bonne journée!
